At Pioneer LED, we believe that world-class visual technology should be used not just to entertain, but to unite communities and amplify important causes.
That is why we are incredibly proud to announce our official sponsorship of the Ampthill vs Cancer event, taking place on June 28th, 2026, at the beautiful Ampthill Great Park.
We are stepping up to provide the main outdoor Mobile LED screen for the day, ensuring that the charity’s mission, its community partners, and the incredible participants get the spotlight they deserve.
What is Ampthill vs Cancer?
With the sobering reality that one in two people will face the challenge of cancer in their lifetime, the community of Ampthill decided to stand together and fight back. Ampthill vs Cancer (Registered Charity No. 1217357) is an inspiring grassroots initiative dedicated to raising vital funds for local charities while bringing the Bedfordshire community together.
Their 2026 event on June 28th promises to be their biggest yet. It is designed to be inclusive, challenging, and deeply rewarding. The day features:
- The Ampthill vs Cancer 5K: A fun but challenging 5km route around Ampthill Great Park, featuring a mix of classic parkland, woods, and a few hills. Walkers and runners of all levels (aged 11+) are encouraged to join!
- The ‘Golden Hare’ Mile: Inspiring the next generation of runners, this 1-mile event lets kids aged 7 to 12 run wild and get involved.
- The ‘Mini Hare’: A short, fun dash around the cricket pitch designed specifically for the little ones aged 6 and under.
- The Cooldown: After the races and the highly anticipated Charity Football Match, the day transitions into an afternoon of family fun, live music, and community celebration at the cricket club.
Elevating the Event with Pioneer LED Screen Technology
When you have thousands of participants, volunteers, and spectators gathered across a large outdoor venue like Ampthill Great Park, dynamic communication is essential.
As the official screen sponsor, Pioneer LED is bringing our premium outdoor LED display technology to the heart of the event. Our screens are built to remain vibrant and crystal clear even in the bright summer sun.
Here is how our technology will support the day:
- Amplifying the Community: The screen will act as the digital hub of the event. We will be showcasing high-definition live photos from professional photographers on the ground, capturing the triumphs of the runners and the community spirit in real-time.
- Spotlighting Headline Sponsors: Charities thrive on the support of local businesses. Our LED screen will ensure that Ampthill vs Cancer’s headline sponsors, like Dynamic Construction and Wheeler Electrical, receive premium, high-rotation visibility throughout the day.
- Guiding the Action: With so many events happening from the Mini Hare dash to the Charity Football Match and the live music the screen will help the event comperes keep the crowd informed, energized, and moving in the right direction.
Why Event Tech Matters for Charity Fundraising
Partnering with Ampthill vs Cancer highlights the true value of high-quality visual technology at fundraising events. A strategically placed, high-definition LED screen does more than just display logos.
It draws the crowd’s attention, reinforces emotional calls-to-action for donations, and gives community sponsors a tangible return on their investment which encourages them to give back year after year.
We are thrilled to bring our expertise in LED screen hire and event digital displays to a charity that does so much for the Bedfordshire area.
